Jewellery Care
ALL MY JEWELLERY IS MADE WITH LOVE, TO BE HANDLED WITH LOVE BY YOU.
- Always handle your jewellery ( with / or without) gemstones with clean hands to prevent transferring oils and dirt onto the stones.
- Avoid impact, dropping, or banging the jewellery against hard surfaces to prevent chipping or cracking.
- Keep gemstone jewellery away from harsh chemicals, household cleaners, and cosmetics. These can damage the stones' surfaces or cause discolouration.
- While your jewellery can be worn daily, It's a good idea to remove it before engaging in strenuous activities, such as exercising or gardening, to minimize the risk of damage.
CLEAN YOUR JEWELLERY REGULARLY.
- Cleaning your jewellery regularly with an anti-tarnish cloth helps to avoid the residue build-up that can dull the original shine.
- Or you can use a soft, lint-free cloth to wipe your jewellery after wearing it to remove oils, dirt, and sweat. This helps prevent tarnishing, remove dust or residues.
- If needed, use a mild soap solution and lukewarm water. Gently scrub with a soft brush, rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue, and pat dry. Ensure your jewellery is completely dry before storing it.
- Avoid immersing porous gems like opals, pearls, and turquoise in water, as it can damage their structure. Opals can lose moisture, leading to cracks, and pearls' silk thread can weaken with water exposure.
STORING YOUR JEWELLERY WILL HELP PREVENT TARNISHING AND MAINTAIN ITS SHINE.
- Store different types of jewellery separately to prevent scratches and tangling.
- Consider using a soft pouch or a lined jewellery box to protect your jewellery from dust and potential impacts.
- Store your sterling silver jewellery in air-tight containers or zip-lock bags to minimize exposure to air and moisture, which accelerate tarnishing.
- Use anti-tarnish pouches or strips in your jewellery storage area to help absorb moisture and prevent tarnish.
